Name | ZERMA Granulator |
Model | GSL 300 - Low Speed |
Classification | Shredding/Flaking/Grinding |
Operations
Description or Purpose | The GSL slow speed granulators of the 300 series are mainly used in injection and blow molding processes as beside the press machines to grind runners and sprues. They can also be used as low noise central granulators for small throughput requirements. The stronger design of the 300 series GSLs allow them to be used for stronger and thicker materials while offering the same advantages regarding low noise and dust as the smaller GSL machines. |
Operating Principles | • Direct driven staggered rotor • Special knife design makes adjustment unnecessary • Easy access for maintenance and cleaning • Slow rotor speed creates less noise and dust • Easily customizable to suit different applications |
Additional Information | The slow speed granulators in the GSL 300 range feature a staggered 300 mm diameter rotor with widths ranging from 400 to 800 mm. The rotor is directly driven by a geared motor. The low rotor speed reduces the noise level of the machine and creates less dust while grinding. The special design knives of the GSL series can be sharpened easily and do not need adjustment afterwards. The material is fed via a sound absorbing feed hopper that can be tailored to fit various applica- tions and feeding ways. Depending on the requirements the machines can be fitted |

Approvals Related to Use of Output
Important Note on Composting in NSW
In NSW, applying waste to land – including a processed waste such as compost - or using it as a fuel may trigger various regulatory requirements. Depending on the proposed use you may be required to comply with a Resource Recovery Exemption or need to hold an environment protection licence, and pay the waste levy.
While there is a Compost Exemption (2014) it is important to note that drying or dehydrating food waste, or any other compostable waste, is specifically excluded from consideration under this exemption. Drying or dehydrating equipment uses externally supplied energy to heat and ventilate food waste or any other compostable waste in order to rapidly dry the waste material over a short time period (typically 24 to 48 hours), either with or without the addition of an inoculum. If you are interested in this type of equipment you should refer to the resource recovery exemptions for information on lawful use of outputs.
If it is intended to use the material as a fuel, it must comply with the NSW Energy from Waste Policy Statement. http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/waste/140056enfromwasteps.htm
