Operations

Description or Purpose The Evashred Tyre Debeader is used to extract the steel beads from car and truck tyres prior to shredding. The steel can be sold to scrap metal dealers and the tyres can be recycled by shredding, then granulation, then separation and finally granule sizing. Extracting the steel beads prior to shredding prolongs the shredder's blades and makeS steel and fabric separation easier further down the recycling line.
Operating Principles The Evashred Tyre Debeader uses a pulling hook to catch the beads in the tyres and pulls the steel beads through a cross plate to remove the entire bead in one piece, the Evashred Debeader has a unique bead clamp to allow broken beads to be removed and also has a quick release cross plate to eliminate any tyres getting jammed in the cross plate with the machine having a 44 ton pulling strength hook with adjustable stroke length for car and truck tyres to be extracting using the same Debeader machine.
Additional Information The Evashred Tyre Debeader is designed to be movable and has forklift points in the base, supplied with a hurricane wire cage and guarding and with simple and safe push button operation with very little noise generated during operation.

Approvals Related to Use of Output

Important Note on Composting in NSW

In NSW, applying waste to land – including a processed waste such as compost - or using it as a fuel may trigger various regulatory requirements. Depending on the proposed use you may be required to comply with a Resource Recovery Exemption or need to hold an environment protection licence, and pay the waste levy.

While there is a Compost Exemption (2014) it is important to note that drying or dehydrating food waste, or any other compostable waste, is specifically excluded from consideration under this exemption. Drying or dehydrating equipment uses externally supplied energy to heat and ventilate food waste or any other compostable waste in order to rapidly dry the waste material over a short time period (typically 24 to 48 hours), either with or without the addition of an inoculum. If you are interested in this type of equipment you should refer to the resource recovery exemptions for information on lawful use of outputs.

If it is intended to use the material as a fuel, it must comply with the NSW Energy from Waste Policy Statement. http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/waste/140056enfromwasteps.htm
