Description or Purpose | The MultiSort Recycling Range, featuring best practice waste diversion features, is proven to increase recycling and reduce contamination in offices and public spaces. Quite simply, it makes recycling easy! The MultiSort system is a modular recycling solution, which provides you the flexibility to select individual recycling bins for each specific location, whether you choose a standard Four Stream solution for the common office space, a Confidential Paper bin for the photocopier room, and a Coffee Cup lid to manage contamination as people step out of the lifts each morning. The range even extends to more unique streams including solutions for clinical spaces and Soft Plastics or Dry Waste, for leaders in sustainability who are aiming for zero waste. |
Operating Principles | The MultiSort Bin has been designed by our industry experts specifically for Australians, incorporating a range of best practice waste diversion features. The popular 60 Litre Grey Base is manufactured in Australia from 100% Post Consumer Recycling Content, reflecting our team’s passion and commitment to the circular economy! The lids are manufactured for durability in Australian Standard recycling colours. Each stream features differentiated apertures around which educational text and graphic symbols are printed. This information is printed directly onto the lid for durability. These features ensure people instantly recognise each stream without training, and also allows the lids to be wiped clean or disinfected without the risk of the dreaded sticker edges peeling. The MultiSort bases are available in three sizes, 40 Litres, 60 Litres which is made in Australia of 100% Post Consumer Recycled Content, and 90 Litres. The popular 60 Litre size also features a range of coloured bases, which can be used to make the stations even more colourful. Alternatively these coloured bases are often placed under benches in commercial kitchen spaces where lids are not required but colour consistency for waste stream identification is essential. The units are free standing as the stable base is designed so there is no requirement for stabilisation bars or fixing. This means that while the units will sit together as a uniform station, they can also be easily moved and are very convenient to empty or transport. This popular solution is also supported by a number of accessories, including our purpose built trolley systems and bag holder inserts |
Additional Information | The unit can be customised to meet your needs. Simply call one of our Waste Diversion Experts to learn more on 0249 537 644. |

Approvals Related to Use of Output
Important Note on Composting in NSW
In NSW, applying waste to land – including a processed waste such as compost - or using it as a fuel may trigger various regulatory requirements. Depending on the proposed use you may be required to comply with a Resource Recovery Exemption or need to hold an environment protection licence, and pay the waste levy.
While there is a Compost Exemption (2014) it is important to note that drying or dehydrating food waste, or any other compostable waste, is specifically excluded from consideration under this exemption. Drying or dehydrating equipment uses externally supplied energy to heat and ventilate food waste or any other compostable waste in order to rapidly dry the waste material over a short time period (typically 24 to 48 hours), either with or without the addition of an inoculum. If you are interested in this type of equipment you should refer to the resource recovery exemptions for information on lawful use of outputs.
If it is intended to use the material as a fuel, it must comply with the NSW Energy from Waste Policy Statement. http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/waste/140056enfromwasteps.htm
